"My Tanzania" roadshow - eastern Europe

Munich | prague | bratislava | warsaw

In 2024, Tanzania welcomed over 2.2 million international tourists, highlighting its continued rise as one of the world’s most sought-after travel destinations. Among these visitors, more than 190,000 came from Central and Eastern Europe, making this region one of the largest and most promising tourist markets in Europe with immense potential for building new business connections.

In 2024, Germany maintained its position as Tanzania’s No. 3 key source market, contributing more than 110,000 tourists. Poland followed closely at No. 7, with an impressive total of over 60,000 visitors. Tourist arrivals from Poland and the Czech Republic have more than doubled over the past four years. When comparing pre-COVID-19 figures from 2019 with post-pandemic numbers in 2024, outbound travel from Poland increased by 128%, while that from the Czech Republic surged by 176%

This steady growth positions these countries as valuable markets for new partnerships. Travelers from Central and Eastern Europe continue to enjoy Tanzania’s diverse attractions — from breathtaking mountain climbing adventures and exciting wildlife encounters to vibrant snorkeling, watersports, and the pristine, sun-kissed beaches of Zanzibar.
